WRK Group, Open Streets Wilmington 2023 Community Day Attracts Hundreds of Riverside Residents

The WRK Group and Open Streets Wilmington teamed up for an event on Saturday, September 16 that was the biggest in Riverside for years. The annual Community Day closed down Bowers Street for the first time between 23rd Street and Todds Lane, and the event attracted hundreds of Riverside and Imani Village residents.

WRK Group Staff from The Warehouse, REACH Riverside and Kingswood Community Center competed with staff from the Walnut Street YMCA on Friday in a friendly kickball game. They were cheered on by teens and young adults in The Warehouse’s RISE program and in programming at the Walnut Street YMCA. The game ended in a tie.
